Real-Time Vancouver Traffic Map

http://www.translink.ca/en/Getting-Around/Driving/Real-Time-Traffic-Map.aspx

TransLink released a real time traffic map for the Lower Mainland using GPS signals collected from cell phones. For $1.2m (figure from here) it’s a bargain if it gets enough cars avoiding traffic, using alternative routes and reducing congestion in one of the most congested regions in North America.

It also maps images from live traffic cameras, cameras at border crossings, and Park ‘n Ride lots to encourage drivers to leave their car a little further away.
