I am interested in progress, potentially but not necessarily through growth. Progress is about working towards a vision. Progress is about environmentally, socially and fiscally responsible planning. Progress is about quality, and creating value in all senses of the word. Progress is about acting, and not simply planning and more planning.

I am an urban planner by profession, with experience in project and program management, in applying both technical skills and strategic thinking, and in the private, public and non-governmental sectors. I work to improve the local and global environment, and can be found tweeting about urban places and spaces, local economic development, real estate, politics, cycling and whatever else I find interesting (follow me @mdror).
